Coastal Walk - Sunday 23rd June 2019
Dear Parents, Scouts, Cubs & Beavers
We would like as many members as possible within the Group to join us again in undertaking the Wirral Coastal Walk this year. As well as raising much needed funds for the Group, this counts towards Hikes Away, Community, and Fundraising Activity Awards for all young members taking part.
The Walk takes place this year on Sunday 23rd June 2019 and we plan to start at 8:30 am from Seacombe Ferry. The Beavers and Cubs not attending camp will walk 4 Miles, with Scouts having the option to continue onto 10 miles or complete the whole 15 miles. Some important things to note:
• Notify your child’s section leader if you as parents are not planning to walk with your child, as we need to ensure we have sufficient leaders walking.
• Full and final instructions and information will be issued by email to all parents the week prior to the event taking place, so please make sure we have an up-to-date email address when you sign for your child’s form.

Finally, just a quick reminder, we do fundraising activities to keep the cost of scouting low for you all. This event is one a several fundraising events the Group undertakes throughout the year, but one that really can help our young members work towards their badges and awards as well.
